New issue of the PJA

Persian Journal of Acarology (PJA) is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal of the Acarological Society of Iran for publication of high quality papers on any aspect of Acarology including mite and tick behavior, biochemistry, biology, control, ecology, evolution, morphology, physiology, systematics and taxonomy. All manuscripts will be subjected to peer review before acceptance. It is free of charge for article submission, processing and publication. Time for review of a manuscript is 3 weeks. Persian Journal of Acarology is included in Thomson Reuters (WOS) and indexed by Scopus, Zoological Record, Biological Abstracts, BIOSIS Previews, Emerging Sources Citation Index, and CAB Abstracts. Also, It has Scientific-Research grade from Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran and is indexed by Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC). Also, it is archived by Biotaxa, ISC, Ebsco host, and Magiran. Articles from the Persian Journal of Acarology will be discoverable through EBSCO host research databases.

Congratulations to Dr. Sazmand, the new recipient of the Odile Bain Memorial Prize

This award has been established for Odile's outstanding contribution to medical and veterinary parasitology, her actions in encouraging productive collaborations among biologists, veterinarians, physicians, and fundamental and applied parasitologists, worldwide. This award also honors her support to young parasitologists and enthusiasm for parasitology.

مجله انجمن کنه شناسی ایران (Persian Journal of Acarology) در سال 2022 مجددا در چارک دوم قرار گرفت. علیرغم افزایش دو برابر تعداد مقالات در هر شماره که موجب پایین آمدن چارک در سال 2021 گردیده بود اما با تلاش های دبیران محترم تخصصی و حمایت پژوهشگران داخل و خارج کشور دوباره به چارک دوم بازگشت.

About Us

The Acarological Society of Iran (ASI) was established on 30 August 2008.ASI is an international society for Iranian acarologists living home and abroad. However, anyone who is interested in acarology and in promoting the communication and cooperation among acarologists in Iran and other parts of the world, is invited to join ASI.
ASI currently has over 70 members from Iran, Japan and The Netherlands. ASI will publish a newsletter and a research journal, Journal of Acarological Society of Iran in near future. Iranian acarologists have long wished to establish an acarological society and to publish a journal in which they can present their works on the Acari. We are very pleased to announce that their dreams have now come true. Please join us in promoting the development of acarology in Iran and fostering the communication and cooperation among acarologists in Iran and other parts of the world
